Day 1. Broome.
Arrive in Broome and be transferred to the iconic Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, where you will enjoy the evening at leisure before joining a Welcome Dinner tonight. Stay: Broome, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa. D

Day 2. Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek.
Journey on the Gibb River Road to Windjana Gorge to see fossils embedded in the gorge walls and spot freshwater crocodiles. Travel to Tunnel Creek, a 750-metre tunnel carved through the Napier Range and wade through the waters with a torch in hand. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge. BLD

Day 3. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming.
Travel to Bell Gorge, where stunning cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. You have the option to take an energetic hike to the lower pool of the gorge and enjoy a dip below the cascading waterfall. BLD

Day 4. Galvans Gorge, Manning Gorge, Drysdale River Station.
Travel through the heart of Kimberley cattle country to discover some of the region’s most secluded gorges. At Galvans Gorge, inspect the fascinating Wandjina rock art and take a leisurely swim. Continue to the beautiful Manning Gorge, where you can enjoy lunch before turning up the Kalumburu Road towards the isolated Mitchell Plateau. Stay: Drysdale River Station. BLD

Day 5. Mitchell Plateau, King Edward River.
Ascending the Mitchell Plateau today, you’ll explore the Wandjina and Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) art galleries and swim in the clear waters of the King Edward River. For the next two nights, stay at our permanent wilderness accommodation, situated in a unique location at the top of the plateau, which is set among the Livistona palms. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Day 6. Mitchell Falls, Helicopter Flight.
Discover Mitchell Falls’ beautiful cascading waters and Indigenous rock art. When available, local Indigenous guides will join you. Begin with a guided hike to Little Mertens Falls and view rarely seen rock art. Continue on to Big Mertens Falls and then see the fantastic Mitchell Falls at their best on an included helicopter flight. Should you prefer, hike back with your guide. Longer helicopter flights are also available at an additional expense. BLD

Day 7. Gibb River Road, El Questro Wilderness Park.
Bidding the spectacular Mitchell Plateau goodbye, rejoin the iconic Gibb River Road and ford the Durack and Pentecost rivers. Don’t be deceived by the tranquil the waters of these rivers as saltwater crocodiles inhabit these waterways. Travel to El Questro Wilderness Park, a property that spans a vast are of rugged wilderness in the heart of the Kimberley. Stay two nights in safaru style accommodation at the foot of the Cockburn Ranges, immersed in nature at Emma Gorge Resort in El Questro and explore this stunningly beautiful setting. Day 8. El Questro Wilderness Park.
Discover the amazing wonders of El Questro Wilderness Park today, covering close to one million acres of the East Kimberley. With a local ranger, embark on a cruise along stunning Chamberlain Gorge, a fresh waterway fringed by tropical vegetation and rugged red escarpments. After lunch, head to the beautiful Zebedee Springs, a permanent natural thermal spring tucked away in a secluded pocket of rainforest. Relax as you soak in the hot springs and leave feeling refreshed and revitalised. Return to Emma Gorge to absorb this serene setting at sunset and enjoy a sumptuous dinner later this evening with your fellow travellers. BLD

Day 9. Purnululu National Park.
Journey deep into Purnululu National Park, home to some of the country’s most striking geological formations. Travel the Spring Creek Track then hike to the awe-inspiring Echidna Chasm, a spectacular natural cleft in the rock. Narrow in width with walls reaching 100 metres high, Echidna Chasm is a must-see in the Kimberley. Continue on to APT’s luxury Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge, located in the heart of the serene Purnululu National Park. Tonight, enjoy a dinner in your open air restaurant and be amazed by the sense of remoteness and quality of dinning as you relax in a million star restaurant. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Day 10. Bungle Bungle Range.
Walk along Piccaninny Creek as it winds through the high walls of the Bungle Bungle domes. Your next stop is the natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge, a spacious cavern reaching skyward, where the acoustics are astounding. Marvel at the majestic beehive domes as your guide brings the natural history of the range to life. You may like to experience an optional scenic helicopter flight over the range (own expense). This evening, enjoy sunset drinks as the sun sets over the Bungle Bungle massif. BLD

 

Day 11. Ord River, Lake Kununurra.
Travel to Kununurra, which is the gateway to the eastern Kimberley and the home of the Ord River Scheme. Two Night Stay: Kununurra Country Club Resort. BLD

Day 12. Lake Argyle, Ord River, Kununurra.
Travel to the majestic Lake Argyle, the largest man-made lake in the Southern Hemisphere. Join a spectacular wildlife cruise on the mighty Ord River. From a modern shaded vessel, discover a fascinating ecological system that has developed from the damming of the Ord River at two locations to create an area rich in wildlife, flora and undeniable beauty. This evening, enjoy dinner at your hotel and leisure time at the Kununurra Country Club Resort making use of the resort facilities or simply relax at bar or by the pool. BLD

Day 13. Nitmiluk National Park. 
Cross the border into the Northern Territory on the way to Nitmiluk National Park. Step aboard the unforgettable Katherine Gorge Cruise. Discover the music, stories and ways of the local Jawoyn people. This evening, enjoy canapes and drinks on arrival at the beautiful Cicada Lodge, before indulging in a superb dinner showcasing the region’s finest produce. Stay: Katherine, Cicada Lodge. BLD 

Day 14. Kakadu National Park, Yellow Water Cruise. 
Marvel at Kakadu’s flora, wildlife and beautiful scenery in Australia’s largest national park. Journey to Nourlangie Rock within Kakadu and view the unique Indigenous rock art before a Yellow Water Cruise. Tonight, enjoy dinner as you take in the beautiful surrounds. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge. BLD 

Day 15. Arnhem Land, Hawk Dreaming, Cannon Hill. 
Accompanied by a local guide, cross the East Alligator River into spiritual Arnhem Land. This afternoon, return to Kakadu and enjoy the rock art and billabongs of Cannon Hill and Hawk Dreaming. BLD

Day 16. Guluyambi Cruise, Ubirr rock art, Darwin. 
​Located within Kakadu National Park, visit Ubirr and explore its galleries of ancient Indigenous rock art. Later, board the superb Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River. Travel to Darwin and enjoy dinner. Stay: Darwin, Mantra On The Esplanade. BLD 

Day 17. Darwin, Embark Ship. 
Enjoy the day at leisure in Darwin before transferring to your expedition ship. Enjoy a sunset sailing from Darwin. 10 Night Stay: MS Caledonian Sky or L’Austral. BD PLEASE NOTE: This cruise is based on the MS Caledonian Sky.  

Day 18. At sea. 
Today you have the opportunity to further explore your expedition ship, relax in one of the public areas or sit in on an informative lecture from your Expedition Team with a full day at sea. BLD 

Day 19. Koolama Bay, King George River and Falls. 
Wake up in Koolama Bay, and travel to King George River, board your Zodiacs to see the memorable King George Falls. BLD 

Day 20. Vansittart Bay, Jar Island. 
Visit Jar Island and discover the island’s incredible Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings, dating back some 20,000 years. BLD 

Day 21. Bigge Island. 
Explore the fascinating rock formations and Indigenous rock art of Bigge Island. The island is well known for its Indigenous rock art, which was created by the Wunambal people, showing examples of first contact art and Wandjina figures. BLD 

Day 22. Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River. 
Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs and mangroves and explore the Hunter River. BLD 

Day 23. Careening Bay, Prince Regent Reserve, St George’s Basin. 
Visit Careening Bay, the home of the Mermaid boab tree, and where Phillip Parker King was forced to beach his damaged ship, HMC Mermaid, in 1820. BLD 

Day 24. Montgomery Reef, Doubtful Bay, Raft Point. 
Visit spectacular Montgomery Reef that ‘rises’ out of the ocean as the tidal waters cascade down into the surrounding channels. Cruise through Doubtful Bay and travel ashore at Raft Point to see one of the region’s most significant Wandjina rock art sites. BLD 

Day 25. Talbot Bay, Horizontal Falls. 
Subject to tidal conditions, embark on an exhilarating ride through the unique Horizontal Falls. Later, take a Zodiac cruise through stunning Cyclone Creek. BLD 

Day 26. Buccaneer Archipelago, Adele Island. 
En route to Adele Island, cruise the Buccaneer Archipelago. Later this evening, bid farewell to new-found friends and your exceptional crew as you savour a Farewell Dinner. BLD 

Day 27. Disembark Ship, Depart Broome. 
Disembark your ship this morning and enjoy a short Broome tour before being transferred to Broome airport later this afternoon. B
