Day 2. Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek.
Journey on the Gibb River Road to Windjana Gorge to see fossils embedded in the gorge walls and spot freshwater crocodiles. Travel to Tunnel Creek, a 750-metre tunnel carved through the Napier Range and wade through the waters with a torch in hand. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge. BLD
Day 3. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming.
Travel to Bell Gorge, where stunning cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. You have the option to take an energetic hike to the lower pool of the gorge and enjoy a dip below the cascading waterfall. BLD
Day 4. Galvans Gorge, Manning Gorge, Drysdale River Station.
Travel through the heart of Kimberley cattle country to discover some of the region’s most secluded gorges. At Galvans Gorge, inspect the fascinating Wandjina rock art and take a leisurely swim. Continue to the beautiful Manning Gorge, where you can enjoy lunch before turning up the Kalumburu Road towards the isolated Mitchell Plateau. Stay: Drysdale River Station. BLD
Day 5. Mitchell Plateau, King Edward River.
Ascending the Mitchell Plateau today, you’ll explore the Wandjina and Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) art galleries and swim in the clear waters of the King Edward River. For the next two nights, stay at our permanent wilderness accommodation, situated in a unique location at the top of the plateau, which is set among the Livistona palms. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Day 6. Mitchell Falls, Helicopter Flight.
Discover Mitchell Falls’ beautiful cascading waters and Indigenous rock art. When available, local Indigenous guides will join you. Begin with a guided hike to Little Mertens Falls and view rarely seen rock art. Continue on to Big Mertens Falls and then see the fantastic Mitchell Falls at their best on an included helicopter flight. Should you prefer, hike back with your guide. Day 7. Gibb River Road, El Questro Wilderness Park.
Bidding the spectacular Mitchell Plateau goodbye, rejoin the iconic Gibb River Road and ford the Durack and Pentecost rivers. Don’t be deceived by the tranquil the waters of these rivers as saltwater crocodiles inhabit these waterways. Travel to El Questro Wilderness Park, a property that spans a vast are of rugged wilderness in the heart of the Kimberley. After lunch, head to the beautiful Zebedee Springs, a permanent natural thermal spring tucked away in a secluded pocket of rainforest. Relax as you soak in the hot springs and leave feeling refreshed and revitalised. Day 9. Purnululu National Park.
Journey deep into Purnululu National Park, home to some of the country’s most striking geological formations. Travel the Spring Creek Track then hike to the awe-inspiring Echidna Chasm, a spectacular natural cleft in the rock. Narrow in width with walls reaching 100 metres high, Echidna Chasm is a must-see in the Kimberley. Continue on to APT’s luxury Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge, located in the heart of the serene Purnululu National Park. Day 10. Bungle Bungle Range.
Walk along Piccaninny Creek as it winds through the high walls of the Bungle Bungle domes. Your next stop is the natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge, a spacious cavern reaching skyward, where the acoustics are astounding. Marvel at the majestic beehive domes as your guide brings the natural history of the range to life. You may like to experience an optional scenic helicopter flight over the range (own expense). Marvel at Kakadu’s flora, wildlife and beautiful scenery in Australia’s largest national park. Day 15. Arnhem Land, Hawk Dreaming, Cannon Hill.
Accompanied by a local guide, cross the East Alligator River into spiritual Arnhem Land. This afternoon, return to Kakadu and enjoy the rock art and billabongs of Cannon Hill and Hawk Dreaming. BLD
Day 16. Guluyambi Cruise, Ubirr rock art, Darwin.

Day 17. Darwin, Embark Ship.

Visit Jar Island and discover the island’s incredible Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings, dating back some 20,000 years. BLD
Day 21. Bigge Island.
Explore the fascinating rock formations and Indigenous rock art of Bigge Island. The island is well known for its Indigenous rock art, which was created by the Wunambal people, showing examples of first contact art and Wandjina figures. BLD
Day 22. Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River.
Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs and mangroves and explore the Hunter River. BLD
Day 23. Careening Bay, Prince Regent Reserve, St George’s Basin.
Visit Careening Bay, the home of the Mermaid boab tree, and where Phillip Parker King was forced to beach his damaged ship, HMC Mermaid, in 1820. BLD
Day 24. Montgomery Reef, Doubtful Bay, Raft Point.
Visit spectacular Montgomery Reef that ‘rises’ out of the ocean as the tidal waters cascade down into the surrounding channels. Cruise through Doubtful Bay and travel ashore at Raft Point to see one of the region’s most significant Wandjina rock art sites. BLD
Day 25. Talbot Bay, Horizontal Falls.
Subject to tidal conditions, embark on an exhilarating ride through the unique Horizontal Falls. Later, take a Zodiac cruise through stunning Cyclone Creek. BLD
Day 26. Buccaneer Archipelago, Adele Island.
En route to Adele Island, cruise the Buccaneer Archipelago. Later this evening, bid farewell to new-found friends and your exceptional crew as you savour a Farewell Dinner. BLD
Day 27. Disembark Ship, Depart Broome.
Disembark your ship this morning and enjoy a short Broome tour before being transferred to Broome airport later this afternoon. B
